Rooted in the Flavors of
Mexico City

Huaraches, tacos, mole, and aguas frescas from Chef Veronica Salazar, bringing the colors and flavors of Mexico City to the Bay Area since 2005.

¿¡QUE ES UNA
HUARACHE?!

It's a thick, oval masa base, named for its sandal shape, griddled crisp and topped with beans, meats, salsa, crema, and cheese. We named ours “loco” because that first bite will get your tastebuds dancing.

Hand-pressed, non-gmo masa, made by Los Cilantros and from local. Mole simmered the way Veronica’s family makes it in Mexico City. Tacos, salsas, tortillas, and aguas frescas made fresh daily. This is the food Veronica grew up on, cooked with the same care that turned a weekend farmers’ market stand into a Marin favorite.

The
Huarache
Loco

Our namesake: a foot-long, sandal-shaped organic corn tortilla filled with beans and piled with your choice of two toppings, crema, salsa, onions, cilantro, and cheese. Made for sharing.

Chicken Mole

Veronica’s family recipe, rich and savory, finished with sesame seeds and served with rice, beans, and handmade tortillas.

Quesabirria

Beef birria tacos griddled with melted cheese and dipped in guajillo, with a cup of consommé for dunking.

Huevos Divorciados

Two eggs over lightly fried tortillas, one in salsa verde, one in red, the way breakfast is done in Mexico City.
